The surroundings

Titirangi Village, approx. 10 minutes by car, has in the last years developed to a buzzing "in-spot". Small boutiques, art galleries, cafés and restaurants invite for al stroll. Titirangi is well known for its art and crafts scene.

Titirangi Market, held everylast sunday of the month, is a well-worth visit.
You will find arts and crafts, jewellery and gold smiths, pottery and other things in the wide range of locally produced articles. Home-grown fruits and vegetables and
many interesting people to contact - don´t miss it!

Lopdell House Art Gallery always runs interesting art-exibitions, up-to-date infos may be found on their website (see below).

After a fulfilling day at the beach or a grueling five-hour´s walk in the Waitakeres you will find a relaxed cafe latte, an ice-cream or a dinner with a good glass of regionally produced wine in one of the restaurants oder cafés the choice to take!

By the way: In Maori "Titirangi" means "Fringe of Heaven" oder "View into Heaven" - suits well, doesn´t it?
